A 427 A magnificent unused pair of James Purdey & Sons single trigger spring opening sidelock ejector guns engraved by Ken Hunt. 28” chopper lump barrels 2 ½” chambers bored right ¼ choke, left ½ choke. 15” highly figured walnut straight had stocks to a chequered end, Gold ovals. The actions with full case colour, inlayed 1 & 2 and Safe in gold, the No. 1 gun with a pair of mallard on each lockplate, the No.2 gun with a pair of partridge all inlayed in gold. Weight 6lbs 12oz. The guns show no sign of ever having been used and are complete in their original double oak and leather case with outer canvas cover. £125,000 |
